Materials Concerning the Roman Orthodox Pilgrimage from Banat to the Healing Spring in Seleus

Summary

From times immemorial, believers from Seleus and vicinity celebrated the healing power of a water spring in their village by calling it Izvor al Tămăduirilor (Healing spring). During the years, the spring and a little church built beside it became a pilgrimage center for Romanian and Serbian orthodox believers in the Banat lowlands. After WWII visiting the spring and church was forbidden for almost 60 years. Recently opened to visitors, the church and spring are now the object of an abundant literature.
